Terms and Conditions

A few points are outlined below please take time to read through them Thankyou.

1.Classes will be during term time and fees for each term will be due on/before the first day of term with no deductions for missed classes. Fees are calculated with everyone paying full amounts. Paying prior to the first class ensures your place is booked and enables me to plan ahead with solid numbers and fees collected, for studio hire and insurance etc. Thank you for your cooperation with this.

2.One terms written notice is required if you wish to stop with classes this enables us to offer your place to another student for when you finish. This helps us continue to cover costs that enable the class to run.

There maybe be classes offered during half terms and holidays to keep practice up over the holidays and these will be offered to students first before others are invited. These will also be offered on a pay as you go basis. This may offer the perfect opportunity for you to bring your friends.

3.Uniform is required and an important part of Dance discipline, as is a neat and tidy appearance. Long hair needs to be tied back securely off of the face in a bun for Ballet and a bun or French plaits for Acro and fringes pinned back as it can distract the student and hinder learning. If any help is needed with hair please ask me and I will be happy to give you a quick demonstration. I understand it can be expensive to buy the uniform all at once so am happy if you take one full term to purchase. Uniform does help to cement the class together and help the student feel part of the team but most importantly enables the teacher to observe safe body alignment in the student without having to contend with baggy t-shirts etc. Uniform is available to purchase directly from me.

4.Children are encouraged to build self-confidence by attending lessons without their parents. I understand it can be quite daunting for a child to start a new class so I operate an open door policy for parents to help their child settle into class. Once settled children become keener and more attentive when there are no distractions. I will hold open class at times throughout training in which you will be invited to watch how your child has progressed over the weeks. I hope you will be able to support these as they can be exciting for the children to share their achievements with you.

You are welcome to quietly use the changing area next to the studio to wait for your child to finish class.

5.Please be prompt for the start of class and for collection after class, so we can start class promptly after the register has been taken and I can be on time for the following classes.

6.Due to the nature of dance instruction and spotting (safety requirement) for some skills that will be learnt in class, a certain amount of contact is required when necessary between teacher and pupil to insure the skill is learnt safely.

7.I carry CRB/DSB check and am a fully qualified paediatric first aider, I am also covered by public liability and public indemnity insurance. All certificates and documents are available for inspection.
